2025 REGULATIONS
The A.S.D. Polisportiva Marsala Doc, with the patronage of the Municipality of Marsala and under the aegis of FIDAL, organizes the 1st edition of the “Marsala Marathon – Garibaldian City” - road race 42.195 km.
The race is included in the National FIDAL Calendar and in the international W.A. calendar.
It will take place in Marsala on Sunday, April 27, with a gathering at the Monument to the Thousand. The start is set for 08:45 on Lungomare Mediterraneo (in front of the Monument to the Thousand).
Bib and race pack collection will take place on Saturday, April 26 from 15:00 to 19:00 and Sunday, April 27 in the morning from 7:00 to 8:00 at the Monument to the Thousand in the start/finish area.
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
ATHLETES REGISTERED IN ITALY
According to the FIDAL regulations on the organization of events, all athletes, both Italian and foreign, who are 20 years of age by December 31, 2024, and belong to one of the following categories, may participate:
• Athletes registered for 2025 for clubs affiliated with FIDAL
• Athletes with a Runcard (valid as sports insurance and permission to compete), for individuals aged 20 and over. Participation is still subject to:
a) presenting a medical certificate of fitness for competitive athletics, valid, to be shown to the organizers in original and kept in copy by the organizing Society of each event. Foreign athletes may have their certificate issued in their country, but the same tests required by Italian law must be performed: a) medical examination; b) complete urine test; c) resting and stress ECG; d) spirometry.
Athletes registered with a Sports Promotion Body (Athletics Section), in possession of a Runcard-EPS; participation is still subject to, in addition to the possession of the “RUNCARD”:
a) presenting a medical certificate of fitness for competitive athletics, valid, to be shown to the organizers in original and kept in copy by the organizing Society of each event. Foreign athletes may have their certificate issued in their country, but the same tests required by Italian law must be performed: a) medical examination; b) complete urine test; c) resting and stress ECG; d) spirometry.
ATHLETES NOT REGISTERED IN ITALY
Italian/foreign athletes who are not registered in Italy, aged 20 and over (date of birth), may participate if they meet one of the following requirements:
Athletes with a membership card from foreign athletics federations recognized by WA. Upon registration, they must alternatively present:
self-certification of possession of a membership card recognized by WA. The self-certification must be signed in original when picking up the bib number.
Athletes in possession of a Runcard (valid as sports insurance and permission to compete), limited to individuals aged 20 and over; participation is still subject to, in addition to the possession of the “RUNCARD”:

CATEGORIES OF BELONGING
Athletes will be entered in their respective categories according to FIDAL regulations.
Participation Notes
In compliance with health and safety regulations, participants who are not registered and those who are without a bib number will not be allowed to run along the course. All such individuals will be ordered to leave. Technicians and other supporters will not be permitted to transit along the course with bicycles or other vehicles, under penalty of disqualification of the involved athletes and a report to the authorities for unauthorized entry.
The event will be controlled by the Race Judges Group of Trapani. Each athlete will be given an electronic chip that must be worn during the race and returned at the finish.
Failure to return the chip will incur a €20 fee, which we reserve the right to charge later to the club if the participant is part of the Grand Prix, or to the individual athlete in the case of a Runcard registration.
An online participation certificate will be available for download for all participants at www.endu.net.
Registrations
For athletes participating in the marathon, for all final rankings of the Half Marathon GP (individual, team, bonus, etc.), the time achieved in the first 21.0975 km will be considered.
Participation Fees and Registration
Until 12/31/2024 - €20.00
From 01/01/2025 to 31/03/2025 - €30.00
From 01/04/2025 to 21/04/2025 - €40.00
Each participating club will be offered one complimentary bib, provided there is at least one other paying athlete from the same club.
REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
Registration will open on NOVEMBER 15, 2024, and must be done exclusively ONLINE via the website www.endu.net
No registrations will be accepted on the day of the race.
Payments can be made by credit card, bank transfer, or other methods accepted by the registration portal www.endu.net
Registrations missing the participation fee, FIDAL card number, or medical certificate for competitive activity (only for Runcard members) will not be accepted.
IN ALL CASES MENTIONED ABOVE, THE DATE OF PAYMENT WILL BE CONSIDERED FINAL, NOT THE DATE OF REGISTRATION SUBMISSION.
It is possible to transfer your registration to another race upon payment of an administrative fee of €10.00. No difference will be refunded.

Race Pack Pickup - Bib Number - Chip - Welcome - Race Course - Award Ceremonies
Bibs, chips, and race packs will be handed out in sealed envelopes to each athlete. The medal will be awarded to each athlete upon finishing.
On SATURDAY, April 26, from 15:00 to 19:00, bib numbers and race packs will be distributed at the Monument to the Thousand on Lungomare Mediterraneo.
On SUNDAY, April 27, bib numbers and race packs can be picked up from 7:00 to 8:00.
APPROVED COURSE
In compliance with the RTI regulations issued by WA for measuring road races.
Flat course, Start: Via Colonnello Maltese in front of the Monument to the Thousand, Via Lungomare Boeo, Via Capitano Falco, Via Lungomare Salinella, connecting to SP 21, Via Lungomare dello Stagnone, turnaround at km 10.548, and FINISH at Via Colonnello Maltese in front of the Monument to the Thousand. The loop is 21.0975 km, to be repeated twice.

Start
The start is scheduled for 08:45.
Maximum Race Time
6 hours. After this time, the organization will no longer be able to ensure full closure of the course.
A chip for timekeeping will be given to each competitor at bib pickup. This must be worn throughout the race, under penalty of disqualification.
COURSE RULES
The course will be mostly closed to vehicle traffic. Areas that cannot be closed will be well supervised by the Municipal Police, law enforcement, volunteer associations, and volunteers.
The race will be monitored by the FIDAL Race Judges Group.
TIMING AND RANKINGS
Ranking calculations will be performed by EvoData s.r.l.
All chips must be returned at the finish.

The top three athletes in each FIDAL category (male and female).
The award ceremony is scheduled for 13:00 at the Monument to the Thousand.
PRIZES ARE NON-CUMULATIVE.
If a prize is not collected during the award ceremony, the organizing society is no longer obligated to deliver it.
CLAIMS
Any claims must be submitted in accordance with FIDAL regulations and RTI guidelines.
FORCE MAJEURE
In the event the race is canceled or postponed to another date, or otherwise not held for reasons or causes not attributable to the will of the Organizers, including the revocation of authorization by the competent Public Authorities, the participant will have no claim against A.S.D. Marsala DOC for the return of the registration fee or any other expenses.
DATA PROCESSING
As per Article 13 of Legislative Decree No. 196 of June 30, 2003, the following information is provided:
The data on the registration form is requested for registration, preparing the participant list, rankings, historical archives, providing services as per the regulations, and sending Marsala Marathon 2025 promotional material.
Failure to provide data will result in non-admission to the event.
IMAGE RIGHTS
By registering for the Marsala Marathon 2025, the athlete expressly authorizes the organization to acquire the rights to use images taken during the event, for promotional and advertising materials worldwide, as per current laws.
ATHLETE RESPONSIBILITY
The participant is responsible for the custody of their race bib, which grants the right to access all services mentioned.
The athlete is also provided a chip, which must be returned as outlined, under penalty of €20 charge.
It is prohibited to cut the designated course or take shortcuts. Non-compliance will result in disqualification.
RESPONSIBILITY DECLARATION
"I declare to be aware of and to respect the regulations of the Marsala Marathon 2025 published on the official website, as per FIDAL rules. I am aware that participating in the race carries risks and I accept all responsibilities associated with my participation."

The Organizing Company is not liable for damages to persons or property before, during, or after the race. The event is insured in accordance with applicable laws. Registration automatically accepts the regulations.
